In promotion of the album "There's One in Every Crowd" released in March 1975, the band toured North America on the "There's One in Every Crow Tour" starting on June 14 at Tampa Stadium in Tampa, FL. The "There's One in Every Crow Tour" started on June 14 at Tampa Stadium in Tampa, Florida and ended on August 30 at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. After the above-mentioned North American tour, the band took a one and a half month break to perform in Japan for the third time (7 shows) as part of the "There's One in Every Crow Tour", starting with the Osaka Festival Hall in Osaka on October 22 and ending at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on November 2. This CD is a soundboard recording of the June 18, 1975 Memphis Coliseum concert, the midpoint of the tour, from the above-mentioned North American tour. First of all, let us review the tour schedule of 1975 to see how this concert was positioned in Clapton's activities in that year. The U.S. tour was the main event of the two-and-a-half-month long tour, and it seemed as if the band was eager to perform live again after returning to the stage for the comeback tour the previous year. The tour was even more intense this year, as the band chose their good friend Carlos Santana as the opening act. A month and a half after the start of the tour, the highlight of the show was the setlist, which was typical of Clapton's style. The setlist was a masterful staging, with Clapton's repertoire from his Derek and the Dominos days providing the momentum, while also playing through Ramblin' On My Mind. The band's passionate performance of "Let It Rain," a song that was surprisingly rare on this tour, is also a must-see.
