This is a very good stereo audience recording of the first day of 12 consecutive performances at the Royal Albert Hall in early 1994. The setlist is a fascinating mix of blues and hit songs, which is a perfect balance of the setlist from the Japan tour in October of the previous year. Disc 1 is a perfect example of the "Nassin' But The Blues Tour". Disc 1 presents the template for the "Nassin' But the Blues Tour," and Disc 2 is a mix of hits and blues that still connects to the present. The highlights of this concert are the live performance of Jimi Hendrix's Stone Free, which was recorded during this period for a tribute project, and the performance of Circus, a number that was played on "Unplugged" but ended up being omitted from the show. In the former, as in the Japan show, Clapton effectively generated feedback at the end by approaching the guitar as if he was rubbing it against the amp, just like Jimi Hendrix. I had never seen Clapton like this. The latter arrangement has a circus hand-cranked organ-like intro added as an arrangement unique to this period (this intro was removed when the album "PILGRIM" was recorded). ) This creates a sense of sadness and brings tears to the audience's eyes, as if to make them share their feelings for the deceased son. Clapton's playing is so sharp throughout the entire album that it is a series of breathtaking performances. His performance towards the end of the album is particularly powerful, and it is safe to say that this is where he really shines. This was probably due to the presence of Richie Hayward of Little Feat on drums, as well as a strong horn section of three members. Each of these instruments is captured in clear and realistic sound, which will please not only Clapton fans of all generations but also blues-rock fans.
