A superb audience master of the first day of RAH Orchestra Night 1991 has arrived! Another superb master has arrived from the UK-based leading taper of Eric Clapton, who is a familiar name in our store. This master is a super high quality stereo audience recording of the stage on March 3, the first day of the "Orchestra Night" with a full orchestra from the Royal Albert Hall in 1991, when Clapton set a UK box office record with 24 consecutive nights of performances. This source was originally released in the 90's on the same day as the previously released "19TH NERVOUS BREAKDOWN", but this master is more than one generation younger and is a lower generation master with clearer sound quality, and was also released in our store in December 2012. This master is more than one generation younger than the original master, and is a lower generation master with clearer sound quality. Therefore, the tape changes were made up on "EXCELLENCE & ELEGANCE", resulting in a nearly perfect full-length version. The only missing part, the pause in Disc 2 3trk, is also included longer than the original master, and the intro/outro parts of the concert are also included longer than the original master. Because of the superb sound quality of this master, there is no discrepancy or difference in sound quality at all, as it was supplemented by the superb sound quality disc "EXCELLENCE & ELEGANCE". The stereo width is clear, and the delicate string and wind sounds of the orchestra, which are often lost in audience recordings, are interwoven with Clapton's guitar to create an exquisite sound that comes through with full power. The full set of the 1990 Orchestra Night was also included on the official live disc "DEFINITIVE 24 NIGHTS" released this year. (The official version is a mix of 1990 and 1991 takes, so it is not a pure full concert, (The 1990 Orchestral Nights are not a pure full concert, but the 1991 version is a mix of the 1990 and 1991 takes. This is one of the few definitive recordings of the concert that gives the audience the feeling of being transported back in time to the Royal Albert Hall on the day of the concert. Clapton at the peak of his career Let's take a look back at Clapton's activity history in 1991. It was a difficult year. January 21-25: 4-piece band rehearsals at The Point, Hall, Dublin, Ireland, for the upcoming "24 NIGHTS. February 5 - March 9: "24 Nights" at the Royal Albert Hall in London (during this period, rehearsals for "Blues Night" will be held on February 20 at Bray Studios in the Berkshires) ←here ** September 4, 1991: Buddy Guy at the Roxy in Los Angeles, September 4, 1991: Jumps in for Buddy Guy's gig at the Roxy in Los Angeles. September 26, 1991: Nathan East performs as the house band leader at a comedy show at The Palace in Hollywood. The show aired on the FOX channel on Sunday the 29th. December 1, 1991 - December 17, 1991: Clapton and his band backed George Harrison on his Japan tour. Clapton had planned to take a complete rest and enjoy life with his 4-year-old son, Conor, after the Journeyman World Tour the previous year and two years of hard work at the Royal Albert Hall. But then, on March 20, the incident occurred. The shock of the incident caused him to stop all activities for six months, and he spent his days in introspection. This film captures the first day of the orchestra night, the final leg of the "24 NIGHTS" tour, which had been a success every day prior to the tragedy. There was no way he could have predicted what would happen 17 days later, and on this day Clapton was at the height of his excitement for his first day with the orchestra. There was not a trace of negativity in his life as he concentrated on his playing. As a rock musician, he was truly at the top of his game. His guitar playing and singing exuded a confident energy. Of course, the guitar solos were improvised every day, so his playing is different from the official live recordings. The setlist was different from the "Rock Night" and "Blues Night," which had been performed with the band before this night, and the setlist was thoughtfully designed for this band version. Among the highlights is "Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra, 1st and 2nd Movements," which the late conductor Michael Kamen, who had collaborated with Clapton on movie soundtracks, took the trouble to write for this joint performance. It is a well-known fact that Clapton, a self-taught guitarist, is not able to read music, but it is also a very thrilling sound recording just to confirm Clapton's courage and grace to play all the movements by heart in front of the orchestra, which can only follow the conductor's baton and play according to the score, and his concentration during the performance. It is a thrilling sound source. It is an unbelievable miracle that Clapton survived the entire 30 minutes without making a single mistake. This is an excellent source to realize the greatness of Clapton's ability to turn a powerful orchestra around and express his emotions with a single guitar, and to experience the excitement of the audience's standing ovation after the performance. It is no exaggeration to say that the highlight of Orchestra Night was definitely this part, and no one can talk about Orchestra Night without hearing it. Only Clapton could have performed the other parts of Crossroads, a full orchestral arrangement that the author, Robert Johnson, would have been surprised to hear behind the grassy knoll. The same is true of Ray Charles' Hard Times. All of the songs are orchestrated by Kamen, which gives a different impression to the traditional masterpieces. Clapton played all over the velvety smooth arrangements. The stage was nothing short of wonderful. Please check out Clapton's achievement of fusing blues and classical music through the guitar once again in this album. With the success of this opening night, Clapton completes a series of 24 consecutive performances with great success. The satisfaction he felt was perhaps the greatest of his career. But then, God hits rock bottom, doesn't he? Life is truly hard. After this, Clapton got back on his feet by supporting George Harrison on tour, and through "Unplugged," he returned to the essence of the blues, which was his starting point. Clapton's look also changed from long hair and flashy clothes by famous designers to a simple outfit of T-shirts and jeans, short hair cut short, and glasses. It is as if to say, "I have lost the important things in my life, and I don't need any more pretense. Clapton was a great man who reached that point, but Clapton was also a great man who did what no one else could do and "shone" as captured in this album.
