Three consecutive Royal Albert Hall performances by Clapton, recorded by the famous taper Daspyknows on Schopes MK4. This is a superb recording of the second day, May 15. The recording position was in the middle of the 15th row from the front of the floor seats. This position with this equipment and this quality of sound is no wonder. The highlights of the second day were the opening number, which was Motherless Children instead of Que sera sera of the previous day (in a sense, of course), and Alberta instead of Change The World in the acoustic set (Alberta, Canada, 1998 tour, Alberta, Canada). (It's been 21 years since they played it as a surprise gift in Alberta, Canada on the 1998 tour), Little Queen of Spades instead of Five Long Years, and Before You Accuse Me instead of Prince's Purple Rain for the encore. Clapton has been playing a fixed setlist for most of his tours since 1985, "one tour, one setlist," but this may have made his fans wonder, "What kind of a change of heart is this? What kind of change of heart is this? For his fans, this is such a change that they want to ask, "What in the world is this change of heart? That is why the second day was also interesting. Of course, as on the first day, Clapton performed Layla in an electric version. For the encore, Clapton's close friend, guitarist Jimmy Vaughan, who had opened the show, joined the band for a quick encore. The impact of the electric Layla was more important than the grand finale of Cocaine. The second day had a different atmosphere from the first day. Please enjoy this superb sound quality.
