MK4 recordings of Clapton's three consecutive performances at the Royal Albert Hall. The recording position on this day was the middle of the 20th row from the front of the floor seats, which was as good as the second day. Therefore, we have mitigated the problem as much as possible without affecting the overall sound balance. This mastering process has resulted in an even better sound quality on the third day of the concert, which is worthy of being released. The highlight of this final day was the "change" from the first and second days. The acoustic set featured the return of Change The World instead of Alberta as on the first day (so what was the significance of Alberta on the previous day?) ) The other songs were by Electric Layla. Other than that, the main set was much the same as the second day, including Electric Layla. Everyone who went to the concert assumed that this would be the extent of the change, but the encore was very strong! Normally, an encore at a Clapton concert is one song. Due to his age and the fact that he was tired from the main set, one song was just barely enough to meet the audience's demand. Therefore, the audience understood that since 1979, encores usually consisted of one song. On this night, however, two songs were played! The first song was Purple Rain by Prince, the same as the first day, and the second song was Before You Accuse Me with Jimmy Vaughan, who was the opening act on this day as well as the previous day. Clapton may have wanted to give his fans a chance to hear the whole show. In the report of this show, I Shot the Sheriff and Holy Mother were the two outstanding performances. The postlude of "I Shot the Sheriff," which is a key to the success of this song, was very well composed with fast playing and gradually building up the song. And in "Holy Mother," which is a decisive song with a solo in the postlude that lets the vocals sing softly and the guitar sing as if it were seeping into your heart, you can hear Clapton's typical gentle but sad choking long-note playing. As reported, Clapton's playing on both songs was at a level worth listening to. What was even more impressive, however, was the closing solo that closes Little Queen of Spades. The sharpness of this solo was unique to Clapton. And the encore solo in Purple Rain was even better than the first night. Hearing this solo, which was even better than on the first night, I really wish that Clapton had skipped the concert when Prince was still alive and performed with us on this song, even though it is no longer possible. What a wonderful collaboration that would have been! It was the last day of the concert, and the performance was superb. This is a superb recording of the three consecutive performances at the Royal Albert Hall by the famous taper Daspyknows. (Remastered note) *The bass sound is a little bit too much, so I have tried to reduce it as much as possible.
