This is the complete recording of the Detroit show on March 28, the last leg of Eric Clapton's 1978 American tour, from the rumored JEMS master posted on the Internet. The recording is a stereo audience recording with excellent sound balance and clarity comparable to the original master of "PEACHES AND DIESEL", and the quality of the recording is as good as you would expect from JEMS. The sound quality has been further brushed up by the renowned advanced mastering. While maintaining the strengths of the JEMS master, the separation of each instrument has been made clearer, resulting in a sound quality that is easier to listen to. Please check the difference from the mere downloaded sound source. The differences from the previously released "PEACHES AND DIESEL" are obvious in the following four points. (1) Although the left channel contact problem is included at the beginning of the performance from 0:11 to 0:13, the pre-show portion of the recording is 1:02 longer than the original recording, including Clapton's tuning check. This is an important first public part that captures the tension and anticipation of the audience before the show starts. There is a fade-out after the previous song and a fade-in before the current song. However, there is no damage to the song. There is a tape change right after "Let It Rain". However, damage to the next song is avoided at this point as well. (iv) Although unrelated to the performance, there is a tape change at 8:05 during the applause for encore from the end of "Layla" to "Bottle Of RedWine", and intermittent contact failure occurs in the left channel from 8:06 to 8:12. This part was recorded about 70 seconds longer than the original recording. It is thought that the original release had a lot of cuts due to the tape change at this point. As mentioned above, the songs are not affected by the tape change, but some parts are recorded longer than the original release, making this a high quality master that enthusiasts cannot ignore. This tour took place during the period when Clapton was inclined to country music, and this is also the day when Clapton shows his usual sharp solo throughout, including such numbers in the 7th and 8th tracks.
