Eric Clapton's finest archival recordings are now available. The first one is a complete stereo audience recording of the March 2 concert at Hershey Park Arena in Hershey, Pennsylvania, from his 1983 US tour in support of his "MONEY AND CIGARETTES" release. This master has been previously available on the Internet. This is a newly discovered, never-before-released master that has never been available to tape traders, let alone on the Internet. In addition to the high transparency of the sound quality, the scale and atmosphere of the arena are accurately captured, and the sound image has a sense of breadth and depth, which are the most outstanding characteristics of an audience recording. The realism of Jamie Oldaker's tight drumming is outstanding. In a sense, the quality is so good that the donor has been keeping it a secret for a long time, but now it has been made public for the first time. The only shortcoming of this master is that the intro part of "Layla" from 1:35 to the middle of the first chorus is missing due to a tape change, but this part has been crossed out as smoothly as possible. This show was the last leg of the tour, which started on February 1 and lasted for over a month. After the drummer was replaced and the set list was reviewed, we can hear a very tight performance consisting of the numbers Clapton really wanted to play. Clapton, who experienced hospitalization and rehabilitation due to worsening alcoholism in the early 80's, is positioned as the tour that launched his comeback to the scene. Clapton's powerful yet gentle performance of "Let It Rain," his first set appearance in five years since 1978, was also a great addition to the show. It is no exaggeration to say that Clapton's true essence is expressed in the run technique from 6:20 in the last part of "Blues Power" and the blues medley in the last half of the song, which develops without stall, with a series of modulations. The value of this sound source is demonstrated by the furious playing supported by the bass playing of Donald Duck Dunn, a master bassist. Although the song "Layla" contains some recording problems, Clapton's sharp solo in the post-recorded part of this take is worth mentioning. The number of songs from this album has decreased significantly since the beginning of the tour to only "Slow Down Linda" and "I've Got A Rock 'N Roll Heart," but the latter song, which was used as background music for Fender's smartphone commercial in 2010, was included in the set during the same year's tour. The latter's heartwarming and powerful performance, which could be described as original, is a true testament to the richness of this tour. Clapton continued with this lineup for the next three years, and the band's cohesion was confirmed in the final part of this tour.
