Eric Clapton's first Japan tour in three years was a great success. In addition to the 4CDs containing the upgraded master of the first day, the high-quality original master of the third day, April 17, obtained directly from the taper, is also being released at the earliest possible time! Our motto is to release titles faster and better than anywhere else. The master of this disc was recorded by the same taper as "Budokan 2019 Day 2". The recording position is in the front of Arena A. If you have listened to "Budokan 2019 Day 2", you will be satisfied with the quality of the recording. If you have heard "Budokan 2019 Day 2", you must be satisfied with the quality of this disc. Like "Budokan 2019 Day 2," the sound is stable and well balanced from the low to high frequencies. The sound is stable, with a good sound balance from the low midrange to the highs, and it is a realistic reproduction of the hall and atmosphere of the Budokan. The expected setlist was the same as on the second day, as expected by most. The setlist seems to have been fixed here, with no Electric Layla, and the unexpected, wild, and dangerous thrills of the first day are gone, but instead Clapton and the band seem to have hit their stride. However, Clapton seemed to be a bit tired on this day, and he played an out-of-tune phrase in the opening prelude before pretending to play it (?). He played a few out-of-tune phrases in the opening fingering exercise before Pretending, which made me think that he was tired, but then he also made some mistones in his solo. His voice was also not very good. However, he suddenly regained his groove on the next song, "Key to the Highway. On "Wanna Make Love to You," an outtake from the album "AUGUST," which has become a hot topic among the fans because of its rare song selection, he played a passionate solo filled with emotion, and both his guitar and singing finally got into their stride. The next song, "I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man," brought the band back to full strength! From this point on, the set proceeded smoothly, following the song order of the second day. At the beginning of the acoustic set time, the band started the set with "Hi, are you having a good time? at the beginning of the acoustic set time. At the end of the acoustic set, the band played an unplugged Layla, the same as on the second day. According to some reports, Martin suffered from a blister on his left finger on the first day, which forced him to switch from the hard electric Layla to the unplugged Layla, but the fullness of the unplugged Layla, with Martin's wonderful tone, was not to be dismissed. The flow of the second half of the show was as good as it has been for many years. The second half of the show returned to the pattern of the past few years, with Clapton's energetic, sky-scraping solo on Crossroads and the bluesy Little Queen of Spades, which really got to the hearts of the audience. At the end of the main set, he played Cocaine with a groove. The solo in the middle was played with a nuance and wow play that only Clapton could deliver. The encore was High Time We Went sung by Paul Carrack, as has been the trend in recent years. The solo here was the sharpest of the day, and the phrasing was so crisp and clear that I thought it was the best of the day. As one would expect from Clapton. Clapton's playing was full of life on this day. Every song was a great listen. The musical sounds are on and the audience is not so loud, so it is easy to listen to.
