Eric Clapton, Japan Tour 2019, the furious and super-fast release continues! This is the original high quality master of the final Budokan show just this past Saturday, the 20th (Sat.). We decided to release this disc in less than a week. We decided to release this disc less than a week later because it was such a superb master. All five performances are now available. This master was also provided directly from the recording artist, and the recording position is the very front row of the arena. The sound is so close and clear (the drum sound is amazing!) and stereo (Clapton and Dorsey are in the front row). (The separation between Clapton and Doyle is amazing!). In keeping with our motto of releasing the best sound quality recordings available anywhere, we have decided to release the recordings extremely quickly for the fans who are still reeling from the concert. Will Electric Layla be back on the last day? Will that change the set list? Will we hear any comments from Clapton at the end? However, in the end, the setlist included the same unplugged Layla as on the second and subsequent days, and there was no comment from Clapton. However, considering Clapton's advanced age, fans felt that this might be his last performance in Japan. That is why 10,000 people went to the final show. Although we cannot foresee what will happen in the future, this is a superb sound quality disc that should be remembered as Clapton's last Japan concert at this point in time. The highlight of this final show, ironically enough, is the fact that Clapton, although showing signs of exhaustion, held it in check with professionalism and defended the quality of the songs to the hilt. The song "Pretending," which started off on a sour note and revealed some questionable singing, made me wonder what was going to happen next, but Clapton is the man. He rode the wave with his favorite song "Key to the Highway," and then he showed his true colors with a thrilling solo and deep singing on "Wanna Make Love to You," which left the audience in a roar. This song was probably the best played of the night. The phrasing of I Shot the Sheriff, while faltering towards the end of the song, was nothing short of brilliant, building up from stillness to movement. The second half of the show was also a masterstroke. The second half of the show is no slouch either, with occasional flashes of danger. Clapton is a man who defends his playing quality while battling against the deterioration of his fingers due to old age. Clapton's performance, while resisting old age, evokes the state of indifference that only old age can bring out in a performer. This is the mirror of an aging professional. On the last day of the festival, I am sure the audience will remember this performance in their hearts and minds. This was a memorable final day. This is the only disc that delivers such an ultra-high quality. Please keep it as one of your eternal memories. Recorded from the front row of the arena. Miracle of the best sound quality.
