High-quality new DAT master of the last day of Eric Clapton's 2023 Japan tour! In April, Eric Clapton successfully completed his 23rd show in Japan after four years of absence. The release of the high quality original stereo audio master for all the shows has been satisfactory, but now a new high quality DAT master of the last show on April 24th has appeared, which is also of high sound quality, so we have decided to release it here for your pleasure. The recording was made in the arena position. The recording was made from the excellent position of Arena A-5 Block 69. The recordist is Eric Clapton & Jeff Beck's "Live Together", a famous DAT taper who is obsessed with DAT. The sound quality is clear, with no need for any equalization in our store, and the bass frequencies are subdued and the singing and guitar can be heard very well. Speaking of the last day, it was also the day of the impressive greeting from Clapton. Please take this opportunity to look back on that performance with the newly released high-quality DAT master. It was truly the final performance! Here is Clapton's soulful and wonderful performance! The most important topic of the last day was Clapton's comments. On this day, after the acoustic set had been set up, Clapton sat down in his chair and gave a lengthy speech. The gist of it was as follows. I want to thank you. "Again and again," he said. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, your help, and your feelings toward me over the years. I love the Budokan, I love this place in the world, and I love the people who come here. But this will probably be the last time. (A murmur and a voice from the audience) No, I don't think so, I don't think so. ... I'm sure we'll keep doing it. (The audience applauded.)" In other words, a part of Clapton's mind wondered if this would be his final farewell to Japan and his Japanese fans. If he had wanted to come back, he would not have bothered to say goodbye. He indicated that this could be the last time he would visit Japan, and although he immediately denied it, neither he nor we know what will happen in the future. However, it is clear that Clapton had something in mind, and he did his best on this day. The result is captured in this film. Although the previous day was a day off, the performance on this day was very fulfilling, and it seemed as if every song was filled with Clapton's gratitude to the Japanese audience. It was a wonderful and tremendous performance that can only be described as "soulful. The best performance of the Japan tour this time was on the second day, but I think it is fair to say that this final performance was also the best. There is no doubt that Clapton's spirit was at its maximum on this day. Please listen to the opening song, "Blue Rainbow. On this day, Clapton ad-libbed almost the entire song, even changing the theme phrase by ad-libbing. Moreover, there was not a single mis-tone in the entire performance. In just the sixth performance, Clapton evolved this song by himself. It is amazing. The next song, "Pretending," was also played aggressively. The earnest stage performance continued. Then came I Shot The Sheriff, with strong vocals! And then the solo in the postlude. This flowing smoothness and phrase structure are also wonderful. There is a regrettable mistone in the middle of the song, but the comeback from that is also amazing. The slow hand technique of winding up and folding up is brilliant. The energy gushes toward the end of the song. Yes, Clapton in his prime is back! The audience is astonished. Please listen to it. The acoustic set was just as strong as ever. For some reason, Kerry was cut from the set that day, but he returned to the electric set and played a solo that gave the impression that he was slacking off, but on this day, he "attacked". The solo was smooth and crisp! Exquisite phrase structure. This quality of playing does not drop from then on, and is maintained until Cocaine, which is also a great solo with a singing heart. Cocaine is also a wonderful solo with a great singing spirit. Eric Clapton was truly a legend who had reached the end of his career. Please enjoy the last (and possibly the last) Japan concert with the excellent sound quality of this album. The great taper of "Live Together" and the DAT-oriented recording artist. This is an excellent recording. Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 24th April 2023 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc:1 (57:01) 1. Intro. 2. Pretending 4. Key To The Highway 5.
