This is a recording of the annual "New Years Eve Dance" event held at the Walking Leisure Center on New Year's Eve 2009, using the original DAT master. The sound quality of this recording is outstanding, and it is without a doubt the ideal sound image that could not have been achieved by any other audience recording! This event, which has been held since 1992, started as a charity for AA, an association for alcoholics, and since they give funny names to their undercover bands every time, this "NEW YEARS EVE DANCE" is also named "ANY LENGTHS". The name of this year's "NEW YEARS EVE DANCE" is "ANY LENGTHS". The performance is a relaxed and superb ensemble backed by familiar musicians, but as you can tell from the start of "Knock On Wood," Clapton sings and plays a lot, which is very different from the usual "NEW YEARS EVE DANCE" image. The content is very energetic and different from the usual image of "NEW YEARS EVE DANCE"! The band's sound is more soulful and gorgeous with two female members of the regular touring band in the backing chorus. The set list was exactly the same as in previous years, but Clapton performed many numbers not usually heard at his concerts, and each song featured a different solo approach, making it a must-see for fans of Clapton. This is a must-have item for fans who want to experience "New Years Eve Dance" on a scale not normally possible at Clapton's live shows, ideally packaged with the ultimate sound!
