Famous soundboard recordings from the 1985 tour are now available for the first time as direct transfers from multitrack reels! is pleased to announce the release of multi-track reel masters of Eric Clapton's famous live soundboard recordings! This is the best stereo audience recording of the April 22, Richmond, VA show from the first leg of the 1985 U.S. tour in its entirety. This is also the first time this master has been released in Japan, and it was brought to us out of the blue by a leading taper living in the UK. The sound source is the famous "King's Biscuit Flower Hour," an American live program that was originally broadcast on FM radio in Japan back in 1985. Since the analog era, it has been made available as a bootleg, and even in the CD era, the complete pre-FM version was released, making it a famous "one for the family" sound source for Clapton fans. Because of its excellent sound quality and performance, it has been released on CD by several labels as Clapton's 1985 sound source, and in recent years, a (half) official version titled "VIRGINIA '85" has also been released, so you may think "Oh, this sound source is already good enough. Some of you may think, "Oh, I have enough to do with these recordings already. However, all of them contained FM broadcast or pre-FM versions (although the official CD "VIRGINIA '85" used an incredibly poor sound quality source). ) While the sound quality was still high enough, this time the heavyweight taper brought us a direct transfer cassette from a reel of multi-track recordings of the concert! The clarity and depth of the sound quality, the powerful sound image, the exciting stereo separation, and the powerful sound that only an officially recorded multitrack can deliver. This is probably the first time in the world that a multitrack reel master has been released on CD. This is the ultimate version of "Richmond 1985. This master was sent to us by a heavyweight taper, and was accompanied by a comment. I'm sure the customers in your store will be blown away when they hear this. It was "Blown Away". Blown Away! A historical masterpiece that captures the best performance of the first leg of the U.S. tour! Let's take a look at the chronological significance of this performance during this year. February 28 - March 15, 1985: European tour including the U.K. During this period, the album "BEHIND THE SUN" was released on March 1, 1985. Late Night With David Letterman, June 21-July 27, 1985: U.S. tour, second leg ・October 5-11, 1985: Sixth Japan tour ・October 14-November 6, 1985: Short tour of Alaska and London, followed by a European tour Europe tour, December 3-23, 1985: Off for the time being, but during this time, he flew in to perform on stage with Buddy Guy & Junior Wells, Sting, Gary Brucker, Dire Straits, and others. The day of the concert was in the middle of the first leg of the U.S. tour. The album "Behind the Sun," which had been recorded the previous year, had been released the previous month, and Clapton had been touring Europe to promote the album and gain confidence in the U.S. market. Clapton had nothing to worry about. Clapton had almost completely overcome his alcohol addiction and had become very fearless in his appearance. He must have been delighted to be able to show his new self again. This was evident in the set list. From the ambitious BEHIND THE SUN album, he played a total of six songs: Same Old Blues, Tangled In Love, Behind The Sun, Never Make You Cry, She's Waiting, Forever Man, and more. The second leg since June has dropped to four songs, which shows how much Clapton wanted the audience to hear the numbers from the new album on this first leg. Clapton's tremendous playing is still evident in all the songs, including "Same Old Blues. To my delight, Double Trouble is a performance that will go down in the history books. That's Clapton for you. He really gets into the blues. And Layla's solo and Further On Up the Road were both too good to be true! Eric Clapton is a live artist, and I would like to listen to his entire career and all of his performances if I could. The Marcy Levy number featured on this show is different from the one on the second leg, which is also strange. The timing was right at the start of an energetic tour that would continue for the next six months. After this, he would appear on "The David Letterman Show," and it is fair to say that this concert was the start of the road to showing the world that Clapton was still alive and well with "Live Aid. The reason why this recording became famous in the boot world is not only because it was a complete stereo soundboard recording broadcast on FM radio, but also because it was the first time that Clapton played in a live concert. Anyway, everything Clapton played on this day is excellent. The set list is fascinating. Because it is the best. In retrospect, I think this should have been released as an official live recording following the release of the classic live album "Just One Night" in 1980 (the next live album was actually "24 NIGHTS" in 1991). The content of this stage is worthy of being considered so. The top-notch back-up men only during this period were Donald "Duck" Dunn, the famous bassist of Stax from the '83 tour, and Jamie Oldaker of the Tulsa Tops, two of the strongest rhythm section in Clapton's all-time bands. Please enjoy. Please enjoy the bouncy bass playing of the late Donald Duck Dunn, who supported Clapton only during this period, and the dynamic and prolific drumming of the late Jamie Oldaker, as well as Duck Dunn's unique comments introducing Clapton in the band introduction (Clapton (Clapton seemed to really get along with Duck Dunn, and even named his own label "Duck Records" when he started it in 1983). This is also the only tour where you can hear the old British guitarist Tim Renwick, who later supported "Gilmore Pink Floyd". His solid playing, with no mistones at all, is also a must-see. His distinctive playing can be heard in the obbligato on I Shot The Sheriff and White Room, the solo on Lay Down Sally (on which Clapton gives up the solo to him), Badge, the second solo on Cocaine, and the closing solo on Forever Man. Clapton's second solo on Badge and Cocaine, and the closing solo on Forever Man. And let's not forget Chris Stinton, who still supports Clapton today. From the synth and piano prologue at the beginning of the album, he plays piano, organ, and synthesizer on each song. It is no exaggeration to say that it was his contribution that made it possible to recreate the music of "BEHIND THE SUN" live. 38 years ago, the bond between these two musicians was still strong. This is a wonderful stage to listen to their support as well as the resounding tone of the Blackie Strat. This is one of the most famous recordings of the "Behind the Sun Tour. We are releasing the first ever multi-track reel master that captures Clapton's vitality and has never been released anywhere in the world. The British source provider commented, "I bet the customers in your store will go blown away when they hear this. (Blown Away)". Really, this is too much, a first release multi-track reel master! This is awesome! Richmond Coliseum, Richmond, VA, USA 22nd April 1985 STEREO SBD(UPGRADE) Taken from the two TDK chrome master cassettes which are direct flat transfer Disc:1 (67:21)1. Intro. 2.
