There are three CD items of excellent sound sources produced by Jimi Hendrix's rare sound source circle "ATM". First, "RAINBOW BRIDGE COLOUR SOUND EXPERIMENT" became a best-seller and was recently upgraded to "MAUI 1970". In addition, "AT RONNIE SCOTT'S MASTER," which captured Jimi's last performance, has been reissued. The third item and masterpiece is "OLD TIME: RECORD PLANT JAMS 1970". The Band of Gypsies formed in the fall of 1969 and played four Fillmore gigs on New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve. The live album compiled from the four Fillmore gigs is a lasting legacy of Jimi's short but intense career. In addition to these historic gigs, the group also conducted numerous recording sessions during their short time together. The tracks that were produced were the core of the studio album that Jimi was working on right up to his death. Later, posthumous releases such as "Cry of Love" and "First Rays of the New Rising Sun" brought these recordings to the light of day, but in addition to these core tracks, there are many other jam sessions that have survived. These recordings have been released in various forms, both official and boot, but ATM's "OLD TIME" release is the most highly acclaimed among enthusiasts, as it is a compilation of the January 23rd recording session at the Record Plant in the best stereo sound quality. The CD release "OLD TIME: RECORD PLANT JAMS 1970" is a compilation of the recording session at the Record Plant on January 23rd, which was highly acclaimed by enthusiasts because it was compiled in the best stereo sound quality. Most of the January 23rd session recorded here have been released in the 21st century under such titles as "JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE" box and mail-order-only "BURNING DESIRE," but unlike those, the unedited, raw, and rough studio atmosphere of the session has been preserved. Unlike those, the Band of Gypsies (hereafter referred to as "BOG") sessions are unedited and raw in the rough studio atmosphere, which is the charm of this release. The sound quality is so vivid that it is almost as if you are in the studio watching BOG perform. But the appeal is not limited to sound quality. What is recorded here is basically a jam session, not a recording of an independent piece of music. The extremely tight performance throughout the entire album puts to rest any preconceived notions that the endless playing might be too much for the listener. The theme of the jam, especially in the first half of the first album, is "Ezy Rider," and thanks to this, the tension is sustained and the performance continues to be very rewarding. In addition, "Ezy Rider/Jam/Cherokee Mist" is followed by two rough mixes, but they are so different that you can enjoy listening to them and comparing them. The previous year at Woodstock (how much of Jimi's part will be included in the rumored 38-disc compilation of the entire event?) ) also starts off slow, but the performance quickly heats up and the tempo increases. This thrilling nature of the jam may be indicative of the atmosphere of the January 23rd jam. The blues jam "Once I Had a Woman," which featured the most controversial posthumous Jimi release from the 70s, "MIDNGIHT LIGHTNING," with solid backing by studio musicians and even a backing chorus, is also played in its original loose style. The blues jam "Once I Had a Woman," to which a backing chorus was added, is also played in its original loose style. Jimi is a master when it comes to playing these blues tunes. The jam that opens the second album, "Blue Suede Shoes," was released posthumously on "Loose Ends," but it has long since been out of print, and here you can enjoy a much longer (and still very lively) performance. Also included here are three versions of Jimi's unreleased jam number "Country Blues," which has long been famous among enthusiasts, as well as three different mixes of the song. The first version, which is the longest of the three, was mixed for the 1993 compilation "BLUES" until the final mix was made, but was left out at the last minute. Therefore, not only is the track perfect as a track, but the sound quality is also perfect. Some of the jams, including "Country Blues," are sure to be a tear-jerking upgrade for those who have heard them on the LP-era masterpiece "SIR JAMES MARSHALL - GYPSY ON CLOUD NINE," and the sound quality is also perfect. The pitch correction has been redone from scratch and restored to its most perfect state ever, making it even more perfect than before. The performance was so passionate that it was not boring at all, even after so many jams. Jimi in particular is in top form, and Buddy Miles and Billy Cox are also excellent. This is a fulfilling session document that makes you realize that BOG is a special trio after all. Record Plant, New York City, New York, USA 23rd January 1970 STEREO SBD(UPGRADE) Disc 1 (69:17) 1.
