About a week after the Stockholm show in September 1967, Jimi Hendrix and company played a show in Sweden, this time in Skåne. Here is an audience album of the first of the two shows. What is surprising is the excellent sound quality. It is hard to believe that this is an audience recording from 1967, but it is so fresh and clear, and the degree to which the sound image is on is truly astonishing. This source was once released in 2007 as "HENDRIX LIVE IN SCANDINAVIA VOL. 1" in a semi-official release box only, which was widely available at that time, but this time, it was released in the famous "ATM" series on the Internet among the Jimi Hendrix traders. This time, however, we have used the best sound quality version from the master tapes that were available in the "ATM" series, which are well known among Jimi Hendrix traders on the Internet. The pitch, which was slightly off, has been adjusted for this release. The overall length of the performance is still compact, as it is typical of Jimi's period. It is regrettable that the recording was cut off at the beginning of the rare R&B cover "Mercy Mercy," but the audience was quieter than in Stockholm, so this recording is really easy to listen to. Perhaps due to the audience's lackluster reaction, the first half of the show was not so heated when the band played the more intense songs, and the performance of "Catfish Blues" did not compare to the blazing performance in Stockholm. However, the high-tension performance of "Fire" was a performance that the audience did not care about, and it was a performance that could only come from Jimi and the Experience in their prime. The performance of "The Wind Cries Mary," a classic song that is even more beautiful in a quiet venue, is a real treat to listen to. Please take your time to enjoy the lively performance with a sense of presence that is different from the noisy American venues. The show was completely different from the Stockholm show in terms of both content and performance, and even a certain calm atmosphere was felt. This is a high quality vintage audio recording of a show that is completely different from the Stockholm show in terms of both content and performance.
