Little Feat was expanding its musical horizons and embarking on a European invasion on tour in 1976, and here is the legendary soundboard album of the highlights of that tour. This is a stereo soundboard recording of the band's May 31, 1976 London show as part of THE WHO's "The Who by Numbers Tour". The Little Feat of 1976 was in the era of "THE LAST RECORD ALBUM" and many of you may remember the impact of the officially discovered "LIVE IN HOLLAND 1976". What is the position of this album in such a situation? Let's look at the schedule of those days: January 9-February 5, 1975: Europe #1 (12 shows), April 11-May 26, 1975: North America #1 (8 shows) ←*ATLANTA 1975, July 19: Denver (2 shows), September 1: Wembley 《October "THE LAST Oct. 10-Dec. 28: North America #2 (35 shows) 1976; Jan. 6: Urbana; Feb. 5-May 23: North America #3 (37 shows); May 31-June 19: Europe #2 (14 shows) ←★here★★; July 3-18: Oceania (6 shows); Aug. This is LITTLE FEAT's 1975/1976 tour, one of only four shows on "The Who by Numbers Tour. This was the first day of the "Europe #2" concert. LIVE IN HOLLAND 1976" was also "Europe #2", but it was a solo show, one week (5 shows) after this album. The show was a big festival style, featuring not only THE WHO and LITTLE FEAT, but also THE SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND, STREETWALKERS, OUTLAWS, and WIDOWMAKER. The festival has been broadcasted and has produced many masterpieces. This is the LITTLE FEAT version of such a major classic, and is the best CD version from the best masters. In fact, the quality of this CD is of a completely official level, as it is a major classic. Not only the sound quality, but also the mixing is excellent, with a great sense of separation and stereo of each instrument, as well as a well-balanced mix. The audience cheers faintly like ripples in the distance, but the performance sound and vocals are as beautiful as the official version. Even if you put it side by side with the discovered "LIVE IN HOLLAND 1976" (.........), it is not half bad, in fact, this album is even better than the original. What is depicted in such an official, transcendent sound is a stage performance that will remain in history as a masterpiece. As mentioned above, due to the festival style with 6 groups performing on the day, LITTLE FEAT only had about 1 hour to perform, but some of their best songs that could not be heard on "LIVE IN HOLLAND 1976" were featured in the set. Let's organize the set here for comparison. Last Record Album (3 songs) - One Love Stand / Day Or Night / All That You Dream Others (7 songs) - Saylin' Shoes: Cold, Cold, Cold / Tripe Face Boogie / Dixie Chicken: On Your Way Down ( (★)/Lafayette Railroad (★)/Dixie Chicken; Amazing! Note: Songs marked with "★" are those that were not heard on the "Live in Holland 1976" disc. In particular, songs marked with "★★" are not on "WAITING FOR COLUMBUS (Deluxe Edition)" either. ....... And it is the performance that spells out the set that is great. Although many bands struggled with the unfortunate rainy weather at the site, LITTLE FEAT put on an enthusiastic performance that made the inclement weather seem completely unbearable. At the time, Lowell George was so well received that he was featured on the cover of "NME" magazine and introduced as "the future of rock," and the actual live reviews were lined with rave reviews. Unfortunately, the "future of rock" dreamed of by "NME" magazine fizzled out with George's sudden death, but the brilliance of the show is firmly etched in this album. This is the most important soundboard album, even more historic than the official "Live in Holland 1976. Stereo soundboard recording of the "May 31, 1976 London show. This is a classic soundboard recording of the band's participation in "The Who by Numbers Tour" and includes "On Your Way Down" and "Lafayette Railroad" that cannot be heard on the official "LIVE IN HOLLAND 1976" album.
