A stereo soundboard recording of Mick Taylor on stage in 2001 has suddenly appeared on the Internet, surprising enthusiasts around the world. After all, the sound quality is outstanding. The clarity of the digital PA soundboard is overwhelming. In many cases, the directness of the performance is pushed out in this type of recording and the actual live sound is lost, but the balance of each instrument in this recording is so good that it could be released as an official recording. The quality of the recording is so good that it could be released officially as is. The quality of the sound is so good that it could be released officially as it is. As one would expect from Krw_Co's release. However, due to the age of the DAT master, there was some digi-noise in the middle of the finale "Can't You Hear Me Knocking". At that time, Taylor released the album "A STONES' THROW" and was performing mainly songs from the album, which evolved into more energetic live performances with Max Middleton on keyboards as he entered the 21st century. The stage was set up with "Secret Affair" from the album as the opener, and songs from the album such as "Losing My Faith" and "Late At Night" formed the core of the set list. By 2001, this live performance structure had reached the point of perfection, and an adult blues-rock sound was being presented night after night on stage. Taylor also sings lead vocals throughout the show. He has been on stage a lot since the release of "A Stone's Throw," and he sang with more confidence than was heard on the album. Middleton also showed off his superb keyboard playing on "Going South," which also served as a solo turn for the band members. The perfect stereo soundboard of this recording shows Middleton's guitar and Taylor's guitar working in perfect unison. Taylor's guitar playing backed by such an ironclad band is most wonderful. It was a long time ago that Taylor's live performances from this period were released in rear-tie audience recording titles. This newly discovered stereo soundboard will make you realize how great Taylor's stage performances were during this period. The Stones cover "No Expectations" is also performed with a loose band arrangement, which is typical of Taylor's style at this time, and can be enjoyed in perfect sound quality. The first mentioned digi-noise is regrettable, but you can turn a blind eye to it and enjoy the 2001 Mick Taylor Show in a stereo soundboard recording. The performance and sound quality are superb!
