The taper of FRANKFURT 1990 even simultaneously released an upper version of another important audience on the 1973 European tour. This was Frankfurt on September 30. This is also one of the most popular and good audios of 73 Europe for a long time. Among the several items released, VGP's "GUTEN ABEND FRANKFURT" was considered as the definitive version, and it was so popular that it still fetches a high price when it appears on the second-hand market. Other items have been produced because of its superior audience, but that one is the one that most enthusiasts think of. Frankfurt TAPE 1973" was the best of the two Frankfurt shows, but the "FRANKFURT TAPE 1973" was the best of the late show, and later items that combined the two stages appeared, but they had excessive equalization or some other unsatisfactory results. In the end, "GUTEN ABEND FRANKFURT" became the most popular album. On the contrary, in recent years, there are no updated Frankfurt 73 items at all, and we have practically no choice but to look for items that have been released up to now. Like Munich, which will be released at the same time as Frankfurt 73, it should have been possible to find an updated version of this item long ago. Therefore, the fact that the maniac who released "FRANKFURT 1990" has also released the master versions of the two Frankfurt recordings is something that the world has been waiting for without any price. He revealed various facts about the source material. First of all, the two shows were recorded by the same taper as "FRANKFURT 1990. First of all, the early show had a sound drop in the beginning of "Gimme Shelter. It has been revealed that this was a problem with the microphones (they must have been pulled out of the recorder), and as usual, there were some sound malfunctions throughout the two shows, as if the microphones had been turned down. However, this is a master reel. The sound quality is a superb upper-range that lightly wipes out the previously released recordings...and the difference in sound quality is obvious even after just one listen. Before this version, even the VGP version, which was considered the definitive version, had a rough texture, reminding us that it had undergone analog dubbing. This time, the master has been cleaned up and is suddenly much easier to listen to, not only natural, but also clearer and more comfortable. The long-awaited master version has been remastered by "Graf Zeppelin" as in Munich. The difference in sound quality between the original version and the restored version is clear and easy to hear compared to the original source. The sound quality is also more stable than the original, and the result is so good that even enthusiasts who have already obtained the source material from the much-talked-about release will be impressed. The best example of this is the cut that came from the trouble in the "Gimme Shelter" early show. The same approach has been used in the past for this episode, where the lack of an alternate source meant that it had to be transplanted from the Late Show, and the same approach has been followed this time. However, thanks to the latest technology in 2023 and, above all, the outstanding skills of "Graf Zeppelin," the adjustments are smooth, again far ahead of past items. The natural finish is so impressive that it is not noticeable at a quick glance. This is only part of the superb restoration work done by Graf Zeppelin for this release, however, as the entire album shows off a meticulous finish. And if Mick Jagger was the protagonist in Munich, Mick Taylor was the sole protagonist on this day. The way he played the guitar solos of "Gimme Shelter" on two different stages, each with a completely different approach, was enough to make you feel overwhelmed by the excellence of his playing that has made him a legend in 73 Europe. In fact, in the early interlude, he carefully spins a phrase as if he were laying down the notes, while in the late interlude, he explodes with aggressive, overdriven phrases that are typical of 73Europe. The Late track is a masterful audience recording that captures Taylor's guitar in perfect balance, never saturating the performance, yet allowing the listener to fully enjoy his playing. The brilliant phrasing on top of that will knock your socks off. The master version of this fascinating recording is also a masterpiece. You can enjoy Taylor's play to your heart's content without being disturbed by the sense of generation drop that has existed in past items. On "All Down The Line" by Early, there is an incident where Keith starts but the band cannot keep up with him. It was as if Keith was looking at Charlie and guiding him in the right direction at the beginning of the song, which was in jeopardy. However, not to mention these happenings and Taylor's masterful playing, the upper version of 73 Frankfurt has been long awaited for many years. Here is the definitive version, the master and the "Graf Zeppelin" remastering, the best of the best! Remastering notes ★ Both concerts were digitized from the '90 Frankfurt uploader's masters. The sound has a wide range, without unnecessarily increasing the sound pressure.
