The Rolling Stones played Madison Square Garden in 1975 for a series of shows, and Carlos Santana jumped into the finale, "Sympathy For The Devil," on a legendary night. The legendary Carlos Santana jumped into the finale "Sympathy For The Devil" at the final show. There are two audience recordings of this event. The first was the "HOLD ON TIGHT" LP, which was released at a higher pitch to fit on three LPs, and the second was the "DISCOVER NEW YORK" LP, which was released at a higher pitch to fit on three LPs, and the third was the "HOLD ON TIGHT" LP, which was released at a higher pitch to fit on three LPs, and the fourth was the "DISCOVER NEW YORK" LP, which was released at a higher pitch to fit on three LPs. The first release, "HOLD ON TIGHT", had a major drawback: the pitch was raised and the order of the songs was changed in order to fit on three LPs. In this respect, the two LPs using "recorder 2" were recorded in a much easier listening condition, but this time, the last half of the live performance could not be released. However, when the CD era arrived, the two CD titles with "recorder 2" became popular at once. In addition, a new VGP disc was issued with the encore "Sympathy For The Devil," which had been included in another compilation disc, also combined under one title, but the title and artwork were released in the style of "Hold On Tight. Because of this situation, "recorder 2" continued to dominate the CD market for a long time, but even before that, it was common knowledge among enthusiasts that "recorder 1" was superior in sound quality. It is true that "recorder 2" also had very good sound quality, but the voice of a woman shouting "Satisfaction" persistently near the recordist was grating on the ears. In this respect, the sound image of "recorder 1" was much closer than that of "recorder 2," so much so that a research book by an enthusiast said that "HOLD ON TIGHT" LP "would have been a masterpiece for posterity if it had been recorded in the correct order and at the correct pitch," and a fan club bulletin even declared "HOLD ON TIGHT" LP "is a soundboard. The fan club newsletter even declared that "HOLD ON TIGHT" is a "soundboard" album. The label that released "HOLD ON TIGHT" had a unique jacket sense and mainly released maniacal audience-recorded titles, which did not get a fair evaluation at that time. In an era when the soundboard "PHILADELPHIA SPECIAL" and "HOT AUGUST NIGHT" were taking the world by storm, the label seemed to have been left out of the limelight. However, "HOLD ON TIGHT", "CAJUN QUEEN'S AFTERNOON DELIGHT" by Baton Rouge, and "PLUG IN FLASH OUT", a compilation of soundboards from the 1972 tour, together with the unique artwork, are the three greatest albums produced by this label. and "PLUG IN FLASH OUT", a compilation of the 72 tour soundboards. The CD version of "recorder 1" was urgently needed, but "recorder 2" had been under the control of the label for too long and did not appear. It was not until 2008 that the mania for the CD version of "recorder 2" began to slow down. First, "THE ORIGINAL HOLD ON TIGHT" was successfully released on CD from LP. While it was a great hit with enthusiasts at the time, it was certainly not faithful to the original, with editing that covered up microphone noise during "Gimme Shelter" and pinched intervals between songs to fit it on two CDs. In this respect, the DAC version of "Hold on Tight" had the advantage of being recorded without unnecessary editing, but it also had the problem that the sound quality had changed significantly from the original LP. It was a highly finished product in its own right, but it is also true that it was uncomfortable for enthusiasts who had heard the warmer sound of the LP. Thus, 15 years have passed since the release of the "Hold on Tight" reissue title, which had some problems. Once again, "recorder 1" has fallen into a situation where it is difficult to obtain. Graf Zeppelin" has risen to the occasion. Once again, they dared to convert the LP to CD using the latest technology. Not only the DAC disc, whose sound quality had changed considerably, but also "THE ORIGINAL HOLD ON TIGHT", has been faithfully and noiselessly sealed onto CD with the ease of listening that only an original LP can provide, even more faithfully than on "THE ORIGINAL HOLD ON TIGHT". The "Graf Zeppelin" album has been adjusted for the subtle sound shaking that could be heard throughout the album, and the pitch has been accurately adjusted throughout the album. The pitch is also thoroughly accurate throughout the entire album. This is another item that boasts a level of perfection that is unmatched by past items. Of course, the missing parts were filled in with "recorder 2," which is also the ultimate in smoothness. Instead, the take of "Rip This Joint" from the 24th, which was included in the original LP, was not deleted but included as a bonus at the end. It is exceptional to be able to enjoy "recorder 1," which boasts such a powerful sound image, in a stable state. The wild performance of the last day of MSG with this sound image, Mick's switch off in "Midnight Rambler," and the finale "Sympathy For The Devil," which started like a runaway train when Keith played bass and Santana joined the band, are the highlights of this day. The stage was a bit of a wild ride, with Keith playing bass and Santana joining in for the finale, "Sympathy For The Devil". This is the best "Hold On Tight" for 2023. Based on the remastered analog LP "HOLD ON TIGHT" (CS-MSG-75), the missing parts were filled in by other sources to achieve the first complete nonstop recording of all songs, albeit pseudo. This is the first complete non-stop recording. The sound on this disc respects the expansive sound of the analog disc* The original disc was processed slightly (about 30%) closer to mono, perhaps to center the performance. The scratch noise was carefully and persistently removed with pinpoint accuracy. Also, there were many places where hiss in the left channel was bothersome in the original source, but we kept the processing to the minimum necessary. The pitch was not constant, so it was corrected by adjusting the pitch as necessary. Also, some of the tape shaking (wah-wah) was corrected. Bonus Rip This Joint was originally recorded on the analog version on the 24th, but the pitch was corrected and included.
