Collection of audience recordings from Clapton & Winwood's 2011 Joint Stage! We are pleased to announce the release of high-quality stereo audience recordings of Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood, two British rock superstars, from 2011, the last year of their then four-year joint stage career! This is a high-quality stereo audience recording of the stage on May 29, the third night of Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood's five consecutive performances at the Royal Albert Hall in 2011. The master recording was originally made from the front rows of the arena seats, but now it has been highly mastered by our highly acclaimed mastering company, which makes a big difference. The sound was a bit blurred due to the circular shape of the Royal Albert Hall, but our mastering eliminated the lack of subtle sound contours that were noticeable in Steve Gadd's bass drum and rim shot sounds, and made the sound more granular. In particular, the thrust of the lower registers (mainly the bass drum) has been eased and the sound is now even more relaxed. The setlist was also strange, with Wynwood's "Midland Maniac" replaced by "Pearly Queen" from the 29th, which has become a regular feature since then. On the 30th, "Driftin '" again in the same position on the 30th, so it was a very rare day. The performance of "Still Got The Blues" featuring Winwood's long keyboard solo is not only a very rare take that can only be heard on this occasion, but also an excellent take that cannot help but evoke an emotional response. This is the last time these two musicians performed together, and we hope you will enjoy the culmination of their performance in the best sound quality ever. A perfect performance befitting of the final year! In fact, Clapton and Winwood had already played a joint concert in London in 2010, the previous year, and the supporting band members for the 2011 concert were the same as in 2010. To understand how this happened, let us trace Clapton's movements from the previous year to this series of concerts: <2010> February 13 and 14: Joint concert with Jeff Beck at the O2 Arena in London. Plastics Ono Band 40th Anniversary Concert" at the Howard Gilman Opera House, New York. Performed with Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon ・February 18 - 22: Short American tour with Jeff Beck ・February 25 - March 13: American tour with his own band ・May 18 - June 13: Joint European tour with Steve Winwood ・June 26: June 26: 3rd Annual Crossroads Guitar Festival in Toyota Park, Illinois; June 28-July 3: Short American tour with his band <<September 27: Album "CLAPTON" released >><October 23: Clinton's concert at St. John the Divine Church, New York October 23: Appearance at a charity concert at St. John the Divine Church in New York to benefit the former U.S. President Clinton's foundation. December 31: Performed at the annual "New Year's Eve Dance" in Woking, Surrey, England, UK <2011> January 13: Performed at a charity concert in Cranleigh, Surrey, England, UK February 11-20: Tour in the Middle East and Asia with his band; February 25-March 9: Tour in the U.S. with his band; March 21: Participated in the Jimmy Vaughn Birthday Celebration Session at a cafe in Texas, U.S.; April 7-9: Performed at a charity concert hosted by Wynton Marsalis at the Rose Center in New York City; May 5: Performed at a charity concert in New York City, New York, hosted by the Wynton Marsalis Foundation. May 7-15: Tour in England with his own band; May 17-24: 6 consecutive shows at the Royal Albert Hall with his band; May 26-June 1: 5 joint shows with S. Winwood at the Royal Albert Hall. (5 performances) ←★here★. The reasons for joint performances in London (UK) two years in a row are as follows: (1) Clapton enjoyed performing live with his close friend, Winwood, and (2) Winwood was a great friend of Clapton's. In November of that year, Clapton performed in Japan. He must have enjoyed it so much, considering that he also performed in Japan in November of that year. Clapton must have been in the groove, given his active and varied activities. (2) In 2010, he released a new studio-recorded album, "CLAPTON," and he wanted to perform the songs from it live. The songs on the album were numbers from what Clapton calls his "mental jukebox" (a group of memorable songs that have always been in his mind). As long as they played two years in a row, Clapton also changed the set list. Clapton has changed the setlist as long as he has done it two years in a row, adding Hoochie Coochie Man, While You See A Chance, and That's No Way To Get Along to the set, which he did not play the previous year. The rest of the songs were the same as the previous year, but the performance on this album is nothing short of perfection. In particular, Winwood's singing and restrained organ on "Georgia On My Mind" featuring Winwood and Clapton's guitar solo are superb. This is a masterpiece that only these two could have played together. The numbers from the old Blind Faith era are also very well done, and Clapton's guitar and Winwood's organ attack on Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile" is unforgettable. The interplay between the two guitars at the end of the encore, Dear Mr. Fantasy, was brilliant, and it was only natural that after four years of planning and with the support of their trusted band from the previous year, the quality of the performance would be high. This is the original master recording of the 2011 RAH Chunichi concert, the culmination of their joint concert.
