Todd Rundgren's first concert in Japan in four years is coming up. This latest original recording is the perfect preparation for his upcoming tour of Japan. This is the latest original recording of the April 6, 2019 London concert. It is a great masterpiece audience recording. Last year they toured North America for the first time in 32 years with the relaunched UTOPIA, but this year they are solo only. Let's check the position of the show from his recent performance to know the countdown to the show in Japan. February 11 + 13: ON THE BLUE CRUISE (2 shows) - March 17 + 21: North America #1 (2 shows) - April 3 + 6: Europe (2 shows) ←★here★ - April 10 - May 13: North America #2 (20 shows) - May 22 + 23: Japan (2 shows) - May 27 - June 27: North America #3 (21 shows) (21 shows) This is the schedule announced to date. The majority of the time is spent on the North American tour, with two shows each in Japan and Europe in between. Currently, they are in the middle of "North America #2," after which they will finally visit Japan. This film was one of the "Europe" shows, which lasted only two shows. This is a superb audience recording of such a show. The recordings were made by one of the UK's leading recording artists. He is a well-known "British master" in our store, and is a person who is able to combine the realistic atmosphere of DAT with the clarity of the modern era. He has produced countless masterpieces in the past, but this is one of the clearest recordings in his collection. Although it is not as close as one would mistake for a soundboard, the core that reaches straight to the listener is very on and robust, and the airiness is crystal clear and detailed. I mentioned earlier that the sound is not "soundboard-like," but the only sound that is recorded by the audience is the extension of the singing voice that dominates the venue and the sound of the drums, and the sound is so vivid and clear that it is not audience-oriented. The show is a rush of gorgeous 70s classics. Although the upcoming show in Japan is announced as "the culmination of a musical career spanning about 50 years," only four of the 28 songs on this album are from the '80s and onward. The rest of the songs are golden classics from "NAZZ" to "HERMIT OF MINK HOLLOW". Let's take a look at the selections from each album as a preliminary study. NAZZ (2 songs) - Open My Eyes, Hello it's Me ●RUNT (1 song) - We Gotta Get You A Woman ●SOMETHING/ANYTHING? (4 songs) - I Saw The Light, It Wouldn't Have Made Any Difference, Black Maria, Couldn't I Just Tell You ●"A WIZARD, A TRUE STAR (3 songs)" Sometimes I Don't Know What To Feel, I Don't Want To Tie You Down, Just One Victory ●"TODD (3 songs)" I Think You Know, An Elpee's Worth Of Toons, A Dream Goes On Forever ●"INITIATION (5 songs)" The Death Of Rock n Roll, Real Man, Fair FAITHFUL (2 songs): Love Of The Common Man, Black And White ●HERMIT OF MINK HOLLOW (4 songs): Too Far Gone, Can We Still Be Friends, Determination, Can We Still Be Friends, Determination, Fade Away ●'80s and Beyond (4 songs) - Compassion, Kindness, The Individualist, Buffalo Grass ...... and You can see how gorgeous the show was. You can understand how gorgeous the show is. And the flow is delicious. The show is divided into two parts, the first of which is a brief history of the band. The show opens with "I Think You Know," but after that it is chronological. The first part of the show is "Open My Eyes" and "Hello it's Me" from "NAZZ (1968)," followed by "We Gotta Get You A Woman" from "RUNT (1970)" and "SOMETHING" from "SOMETHING" (1970). Then it avalanches into the "SOMETHING/ANYTHING?" (1972) trifecta. In fact, although not strictly following a chronological order, it is a big swell from roughly the early to the mid-70s. The second part is a complete turnaround from there. The second part is a complete turnaround from the first, with a big showcase of golden songs from the 70s, interspersed with post-90s classics such as "The Individualist," "Kindness," and "Buffalo Grass. It gives a sense of the breadth of a career that has always produced masterpieces while largely moving back and forth between eras. This is the latest live album that sums up a career spanning half a century and allows you to enjoy a large number of great songs from the 70s. Although the show in Japan may not necessarily be the same as the show on this album, the excellence of the show is clearly conveyed. The subtlety and passion of the show can be experienced in the superb sound of the original live recording. This 2-CD set is a great preparation for the show in Japan, as well as a great music album to enjoy good songs and good performances in superb sound.
